Euro Car Parts play a major part in ATRís most profitable year ever

30 January 2009

Euro Car Parts play a major part in ATR’s most profitable year ever

Euro Car Parts (ECP), the UK’s leading aftermarket parts supplier has recently distributed the latest newsletter for the leading European automotive aftermarket buying group (ATR) to all partners and customers. It highlights ECP’s outstanding contribution towards ATR’s highest turnover year in history.

The informative newsletter attributes its impressive year-end results to its new partners; Euro Car Parts (UK) and Tokic (Croatia). Together they have contributed an amazing 39% to external sales growth totalling more than 200m Euro's. ATR finished the year with a  3.2bn Euro turnover - an increase of 18.8% in spite of the industry’s (and indeed global) difficult economical times.Roland Dilmetz, managing director added: “Without ECP and Tokic, ATR would have achieved a growth rate of 11.9%. ATR’s shareholders were very active in 2008 and this is illustrated in our recent newsletter.”

Other ATR members have also been regular visitors to ECP’s Wembley headquarters over the last few months. Colleagues from Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Kazakhstan have all made the journey and benefited from the opportunity to share business ideas (which is very much part of ATR’s group strategy), as well as touring ECP’s facilities and meeting the team.

In addition the newsletter also remarks on the success of the three recently opened Euro Car Parts branches: Stoke-on-Trent, Hoddesdon and Stockport. All branches reached ‘break-even’ within four weeks of opening, with Stoke managing to generate enough sales and margin to cover branch costs within only 15 days.David Bevan, ECP Director commented: “Within ATR we are partnered with some of the biggest and most influential parts distributors across Europe. This has further strengthened our purchasing position with both existing and new suppliers. We feel very proud that we have contributed to ATR’s success and we hope that this is a good basis for times ahead. We are positively looking forward to 2009 and sincerely hope this can only benefit our UK garage and bodyshop customers.”
