Milestones - 2006

In preparation for the “All Makes” launch, Euro Car Parts acquires a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse in North London and stocks it with £15 million of additional parts. Our logistics are re-organised and upgraded so that our branches throughout the UK are restocked every day, or up to 4 times a day in some cases. The majority of our 1,000 employees have already received a significant amount of training, enabling them to deal with this new venture, and are ready and eager to advise our customers on any vehicle.

The time is now right for us to take on our biggest challenge to date. For over 25 years, Euro Car Parts has continuously progressed to the forefront of parts distribution for German, Scandinavian and French vehicles. Whilst still planning further improvements to our ranges and services for these vehicles, from February 1st 2006 we launch our “All Makes Programme”. For the first time owners and repairers of any make of vehicle are able to enjoy the traditional benefits of current ECP customers, quality products, in-stock, competitive prices and knowledgeable staff.

Euro Car Parts acquires the 10-branch network of ARE, a family-owned motor factor business in Southern England. An intensive project begins to fully train all staff and to upgrade buildings, stock and systems to enable full integration into ECP.

Euro Car Parts begin rollout of the latest K8 ERP ‘state-of-the-art' computer system, a £2 million investment in the future growth of our product ranges and branch network. The ADP Kerridge K8 has touch screen technology and the capability to produce graphic images of all of our parts, enabling the fastest and most accurate part identification process possible.

The fireworks from Euro Car Parts are the launch of the Normfest workshop consumable and chemical ranges. Normfest is part of a group with worldwide sales of € 7 billion and Euro Car Parts have negotiated sole distribution for the Normfest brand in the UK! A 10-strong specialist sales team is set up to demonstrate this fantastic range of products to fleet, car owners and garage customers throughout the UK.

The first graduates completed their courses at the Euro Car Parts Training Academy and eagerly await their chance to demonstrate their new found skills to the most important person in our business…..”our customer”.

Full year sales, at £89 million, are a record and over 30% up on the previous year. We thank the Euro Car Parts team for their commitment and resourcefulness throughout the year.
