Milestones - 2014

January

Ahead of schedule: Euro Car Parts opens third national distribution centre.

We have enhanced our industry leading distribution network with the addition of a new 258,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility on Bonehill Road in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Located close to the 600,000 sq. ft. National Distribution Centre (NDC), which opened in 2010, and 15 miles from the collision repair parts facility at Swadlincote, which opened in 2012, ‘Bonehill’ will future-proof the business as we drive towards our 165 plus UK branch target by end 2014.

This facility will significantly boost the warehouse capacity for the company, as we continue our ambitious branch opening programme during 2014 and beyond. Independent garages are the bedrock of our business and this site means unprecedented levels of logistical support which translates to even higher levels of customer service. It’s not just the expansion of the branch network but the increase in new ranges along with higher levels of availability of OE brands across all product groups.

In addition the facility has more than 15,000 sq ft of space which is currently being refurbished into a Training Academy. Martin Gray, CEO, commented “by working with our key suppliers, some of the biggest names in the automotive world, we will be launching a first class training programme for our customers during 2014, that’s the kind of real added value you get from Euro Car Parts.
