2015 Highlights

 

- ECP is committing capital to develop a network of Super Hubs throughout the UK in 2015. The move will create over 1,000 new jobs, build in excess of 1 million square feet of new warehousing and achieve 100 per cent availability of an expanded choice of stock to customers.

- LKQ Coatings, a division of Euro Car Parts have announced a roll out of 23 Collision Centres across the UK in 2015 

- Woolwich becomes branch number 189 in the network.

- ECP have been awarded the 'Shell Helix Champion Reward' in recognition of its phenomenal growth in sales over the past three years of Shell Helix Ultra motor oil.

- ECP announced they are a major sponsor of the Milwaukee Yamaha 2015 British Superbike Team

- ECP invested in over half a million pounds in a major technical training programme that will deliver around 300 events by the end of 2015 involving 225 nationwide branch locations.

- Saltash hub opens, improving product availability and speed of deliveries to local service, repair & MOT workshops in the South West.

- Corteco top mounts now in stock - the range consists of 290 parts covering all popular passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

- An exclusive deal was agreed with Autologic, a world leader in automotive diagnosis, to add Autologic Assist to ECP's Workshop Solutions portfolio.

- ECP now stocks a new range of aftermarket glow plugs by European original equipment (OE) manufacturer, Hidria

- ECP's 200th branch opens in Manchester (Moss Lane)

- Every ECP branch now stocks Brembo products with full vehicle parc coverage

 

2014 Highlights

- Opened a 258,000sq ft national distribution centre in Bonehill, Tamworth. 

- Acocks Green in Birmingham is the 150th Branch in the ECP network.

- Now stock all Textar brake pads and discs.

- At the Thatcham Repair Focus event ECP unveiled the new Platinum Plus automotive lighting range, which is independently certified by Thatcham/TŰV.

- ECP’s parent company, LKQ Corporation, was named on the Fortune 500 list for the first time (No. 490). 

- One of the UK's leading used car retailers, CarShop, consolidated the procurement of all its paint, consumables, parts and equipment into LKQ Coatings and ECP to help control its costs and deliver faster service and repair deadlines that will enhance its customer experience to motorists.

- Acquired 27 Unipart branches across England, Scotland and Wales

- Partnership with BEN (the automotive charity) was officially announced

- Announced the company secured one of the largest distribution facilities in the Midlands. The 1 million sq ft (inc. mezzanine floor) bespoke facility is being built in the Birch Coppice business park where ECP already occupies a warehouse. 

 

2013 Highlights

- Launched a Trade Website and Garage Management System

- Sponsored the ABP Club forums.

- Branch Managers’ Conference was attended by directors from Euro Car Parts and LKQ, 132 branch managers and supplier representatives.

- Merged with Sator Holding to create one of the biggest vehicle parts distributors in Europe.

- LKQ Euro acquires Iris Coatings and 5 UK Distributors of Automotive Paint and Bodyshop Supplies.

- Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia became Chairman of LKQ Europe. As Chairman of all LKQ’s European companies - Euro Car Parts, Sator, Autoclimate and LKQ coatings Mr Singh will develop a group of European aftermarket companies.

 

2012 Highlights

- Our specialist internal trainers provided technicians with the necessary knowledge to understand the fundamentals of engine management systems. 

- Announced our latest initiative launch the Platinum Plus range of Collision Parts. Our exciting new Platinum Plus range is the first programme in the UK to cover body panels and bumpers under one brand.

- Celebrated the opening of Branch 100 in Harrow, North London with the help of the Mayor & Mayoress of Harrow. 

- Added some new and exciting suppliers to our list. 3M, Henkel (famous for the Loctite & Teroson brands) and Milwaukee cordless and corded power tools product are stocked throughout our network and we are very proud to be associated with such great brands and products.

- Attended; CARS Exhibition in Liverpool

- Opened a 141,000 sq ft distribution centre in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, which will primarily house our Collision Repair range of bumpers, bonnets and grilles. 

- In 2012 ECP went from 90 branches to 120 during 2012. As a result, we created around 2,000 new jobs.

 

2011 Highlights

- ECP were shortlisted as a Sunday Times Top Track 250 company

- Ordered another 130+ delivery vans for the network

- Appointed the sole UK distributor for H&R suspension products. The range includes lowering springs, coilover suspension kits and wheel spacers.

- ECP attended the Workshop Show at the NEC in April for the presentation to the Top Technician 2011.

- Exhibited at Mechanex Show in Harrogate. Euro Car Parts continues to support the industry by attending this established trade show.

- Won the prestigious Best Management Team award sponsored by PwC,at the Profit Track 130+ national awards dinner.

- Nominated for two awards, the first being the Private Business Awards which aims to celebrate the best in the private sector and highlight the achievements of individuals and companies. The second award is the National Tyre Distributors Association Award for Tyre & Aftermarket Supplier 2011.

- Euro Car Parts have become one of the leading supporters of the initiative to stop the government changing the MOT test frequency.

 

 2010 Highlights

- The Board sign off an ambitious 3 year development plan to double ECP's market share and greatly strengthen its branch network, product ranges and marketing programmes.

- Announced the launch of a 400,000 sq ft National Distribution Centre in Tamworth.

- Regional hub opened in Crawley. It is the first of a network of 9 Regional Hubs which will provide a minimum service of 4 times a day on specialist parts to ECP's fast-expanding branch network.

- Sukhpal Singh (CEO, Euro Car Parts) and Robert Hanser (Worldwide Head of Robert Bosch's Aftermarket Division) were both delighted to have signed the letter of intent for ECP to roll out the BOSCH AutoCrew garage programme in the UK

- Appointed as sole supplier of batteries, car parts and consumables stock to RAC's 1,800 Patrol Vans. In addition to this, a unique roadside delivery service will help RAC to provide an even higher first-time fix rate (already the UK's best) to RAC members

- Won the prestigious Bosch Sales Excellence Award, presented to us at the awards ceremony in Turkey, earlier this month.

- The NDC opens and has taken over ALL functions that were previously controlled from Wembley including the all-important import and national distribution functions.

- Awarded the prestigious KWIK FIT contract for Shocks, Springs and Suspension components and we are extremely proud to support the KWIK FIT network with quality products from the likes of Sachs and Lemforder

- An all new e-commerce web site aimed at the end user / car owner audience was launched. The new web site offers far greater functionality and delivers customers a great online shopping experience along with access to the largest range of parts and accessories in the UK.

- A brand new corporate web site and media centre was launched. This is aimed primarily at the media, suppliers and potential employees.

- 23 new and expanded branches opened this year, of which Newcastle and Bristol are regional hubs.

- Over 130+ current and new branch managers, along with 130+ head office personnel attended a conference designed to help them prepare for the coming year and highlight the fantastic plans the company has regarding (amongst other things)  people, benefits, products, marketing and network expansion.

- Started rolling out a state-of-the-art catalogue system built on a unique code linking the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) to the relevant parts..
